Did you know that 8,879 Sworn Chicago Police Department Members worked involuntary regular day off hours in the last 12 months for a total overtime earnings of $29.1M? Which event accounted for the highest overtime earnings?

In the last 12 months*, there have been 11,077 sworn Chicago Police Department (CPD) Members with overtime for a total of $284.7M in total overtime earnings. Of that, 8,879 sworn CPD Members worked involuntary regular day off hours for a total overtime earnings of $29.1M.

Which event accounted for the highest overtime earnings for sworn CPD Members working involuntary regular day off hours? Here’s how to find out.

1. Confirm Timeframe

Confirm that Last 12 Months is selected under Select timeframe.

2. Select Reason for Overtime

Click the dropdown menu under Reason for Overtime and deselect (All).

Click the checkbox next to WORKED INVOLUNTARY REGULAR DAY OFF and click Apply.

3. Select Top 10 Display

Locate the dropdown menu next to the Top 10 label.

Change the dropdown menu next to Top 10 from CPD Members to Special Events.

Summary

With the parameters in place, Mexican Independence Day Celebration is the top special event that accounted for the most overtime earnings for sworn CPD Members working involuntary regular day off hours.
