Raul Valdez joined the Office of Inspector General in 2015 as an Investigator and currently serves as the Director of Special Investigations. He focuses on investigations and special projects undertaken by the Office of Inspector General. Previously, Valdez served as an Investigator with the City Colleges of Chicago Office of Inspector General. He also worked as a tax accountant in the private sector, leveraging technology to bring efficiency and accuracy to multiple corporations’ tax operations. He has extensive experience investigating various administrative and criminal allegations.

Valdez is a Certified Inspector General Investigator and earned a BS in Finance from DePaul University.
