Sanford Roth
Chief Assistant Inspector General – Legal Compliance
Sanford Roth joined the Office of Inspector General in 2019 as an associate staff attorney and later served as an assistant inspector general in 2022. Roth has served as chief assistant inspector general for legal compliance since November 2023.
Roth has expertise in providing legal direction and advice regarding investigations, performance audits, and public safety reviews. Prior to joining OIG, he served as an associate with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Columbia, SC, and a staff attorney with King & Spalding LLP in Atlanta.
Roth holds a BS in political science from Florida State University and a JD from Tulane University.
