Investigation – Operation Crooked Code

Operation Crooked Code was a joint investigation by OIG, the FBI, the US Attorney’s Office, and the US Postal Inspection Service that resulted in the conviction of 22 people, including 16 current or former City employees. In addition a to conducting the investigation of criminal misconduct, OIG also identified and made recommendations regarding the systemic problems in City operations that allowed such wide scale corruption to take place.
