Amended Hiring Plan Filed


The Amended Hiring Plan expanded upon the existing prohibition against political influence in the hiring process to include a prohibition against “Improper” considerations and strengthened City employees’ obligation to report potential misconduct; other significant changes included:

  • Created and enforced Contractor Policy
  • Created and enforced Senior Manager hiring process
  • Standardized Shakman-Exempt positions
  • Created hiring policies prohibiting Political or other Improper considerations applicable to Student and Volunteer Workers
