Stephanie Snow currently serves as the Chief Assistant Inspector General at the Office of Inspector General. She joined OIG in 2020 as an Assistant Inspector General, providing legal counsel for misconduct investigations involving violations of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the City’s personnel rules, the City’s Governmental Ethics Ordinance, as well as providing counsel on OIG’s audits and Public Safety projects. As Chief Assistant Inspector General, she is responsible for overseeing, planning, organizing, and directing OIG’s legal staff. Snow is an attorney with prior experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman in the Northern District of Illinois, and as a staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Additionally, she has over 15 years of previous experience as a legal administrative professional. Snow is accredited as a Certified Inspector General Investigator by the Association of Inspectors General. She earned her JD from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (previously the John Marshall Law School), where she graduated cum laude in 2017.
