
Hector Arellano
Chief Investigator
Hector Arellano joined the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General in 2003 as an Investigator, before moving into his current role as a Chief Investigator in 2023. During his 20-year tenure, he has worked on a variety of administrative and criminal investigations coordinating surveillance, engaging in field operations, conducting interviews, and assisting state and federal agencies with joint investigations.
Arellano is a Certified Inspector General Investigator and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago.
