
Cynthia Park
Cynthia Park joined the Office of Inspector General in 2020 as the Deputy Inspector General of Technology and Operations. Previously, she worked at the Illinois Housing Development Authority as the IT Purchasing Lead. She has held numerous senior management positions, including (but not limited to): Cook County Deputy Chief Procurement Officer, Office of the Chief Procurement Officer; Cook County Director of Finance and Administration, Bureau of Technology; and City of Chicago Deputy Commissioner of Management, Program and Policy, Department of Housing. In these management roles, she developed, reviewed, and monitored budgets and expenditures; drafted job descriptions; managed hiring plans; implemented new program procedures; and managed the monitoring and reporting requirements for various affordable housing programs. In recent years, her focus has shifted to assisting public sector information technology teams to determine sourcing strategies and find technology solutions, services, and products in accordance with public procurement rules and procedures. She is also a Certified Planner and a member of the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Park earned both a BA in Political Science and an MA in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
