Corey Brautigam

Chief Investigator

Corey Brautigam joined the Office of the Inspector General in 2016 as Investigator I, rising to Investigator III before serving in her current role, beginning in 2022, as Chief Investigator.

Brautigam has led sensitive investigations using trauma-informed training skills and conducted subject interviews, surveillance operations, and data analysis for criminal cases. Previously Brautigam was an Investigative Analyst for the United Postal Inspection Service in Chicago, and a Case Manager and Pre-Sentence Investigator for the Marion County (IN) Probation Department.

Brautigam earned a BA in criminal justice, sociology, and psychology from Indiana University and has an MA in sociology, with an emphasis in criminology, from Ohio University.
