On May 4, 2012, OIG transmitted a report to the City concerning the development of an abandoned plan to mount cameras on the City’s street sweepers in order to automatically issue tickets for parked vehicles obstructing regularly scheduled street sweeping. OIG provided this report to ensure that the research and implementation efforts already expended by City departments and personnel are not lost should the City consider implementing this system in the future.
